  14. First, FC2Clip only works with system 7 or higher. Since it is relatively simple, and depends on time tested routines to acomplish its tasks, it might not have any bugs. <g>

FC2Clip is designed to take the SitC (Stuffit Comments) resource in archives and copy it to the clipboard. You can add SitC comments to most files with TFCommenter, also included. (TFCommenter was NOT written by me!). FirstClass and TeleFinder use these resources to display file descriptions to callers. I wrote the FKEY because I upload lots of files to my BBS, and I write the descriptions offline with TFCommenter. Then I attach the file to a message (I use FirstClass), and run the FKEY to get the description and paste it into the message. When the sysop downloads the file and moves it into the regular folders, the description stays with it.

  18. I'm asking for $5, because I've spent over $5000 on programming stuff for the Mac. Not counting the computer. And I'm only a senior in high school. I need to get to college somehow.

If you use TFCommenter to compose your file commments offline, and FC2Clip to post these comments into your uploads, you might find that your Sysop likes you a whole lot more. He or she might even give you extra time online. Your archives will be better organized with embedded file descriptions, and suddenly your transfer ratios might improve.

The Installer application that makes up the bulk of FC2Clip is fairly simple. Choose the ID# you want the FKEY to use. You run an FKEY by holding down command and shift, and pressing the ID# you want. #1 and #2 are used to eject the internal and external drives respectively, and can't be replaced. #3 is preinstalled on all Macs, and saves the screen to a PICT file on the top level of your startup drive. This FKEY can be deleted or replaced, so be careful!

  26. If you want to use this FKEY installer, send me mail or a note, and $10. You can then attach your FKEY to the installer, and edit most of the dialogs. For $10, you get full distribution rights. You may NOT edit the help dialg however.
